First world problems (Noun)
a relatively trivial or minor problem or frustration (implying a contrast with serious problems such as those that may be experienced in the developing world).
America continues to throw out its food, while the hungry continue to be hungry and the impoverished continue to be stuck in poverty. We throw out milk smells bad, but is still completely healthy. When we throw out that one chicken wing, that one last sip, that one last bite, how much are we really throwing out?
My family has always been an advocate of not wasting food. I have always been told stories that wasting food will lead to me being reincarnated into a less fortunate life. But how do we stop this on the global scale and with corporations throwing out the food?
The public needs to be more aware about how long food can actually stay out. The regulation needs to be more relaxed so that markets can donate the food they are no longer able to sell. There will always be hungry mouths to feed.
