Scream and Shout

Fall Rally South is an event where high school students from California and Nevada gather at Six Flags and show their pride. This event consists of cheering and seeking exhilaration from the thrill ride capital. But on a deeper level, it’s something else.

Nationalism. Students come to show their divisions pride by dressing in the representative colors and chant cheers to make other divisions tremble at their might. The spirit battles become a fight for pride and neither group wants to back down, breaking their voices in the process. But to what extent is too much?

Lack of pride in something has always been viewed negatively as “too cool” for it, but what happens if there is too much? It becomes excessive and otherwise “cringe” worthy.
