Free with a Purchase

Over the weekend, Huntington Beach hosted an air show which attracted hundreds of locals who came to watch the show. The show consisted of jets maneuvering at speeds faster than sounds, only inches from crashing each other and it was all for the public to see!

But that’s not the case.

There is a prominent widespread idea that the end product is free, but the public doesn’t take in the fact that there are factors outside that affect it. The long lines of traffic eats up dollars by the minute as drivers observe the show, rubbernecking and keeping the traffic. The parking prices are doubled and vendors attract the tourist with such propaganda that it obliges the consumer to purchase their goods.

Nothing is truly free.
